Ariana Mitchell is a Bay Area native, now rooted in San Diego; she brings both creativity and community-centered passion to her role as Digital Media Assistant. Her journey began with a love for storytelling through photography, first sparked in childhood by the magic of a Polaroid camera. Over time, that creative foundation grew into a commitment to using media arts as a tool for empowerment and connection.

A proud alumna of the David’s Harp Foundation’s BizPod program, Ariana has experienced firsthand the transformative power of creative workforce development. Now, she continues to remain deeply involved with the foundation, mentoring, collaborating and hiring youth as they gain tangible skills in entrepreneurship, media production, and professional growth. This work has strengthened her belief in the importance of investing in young people; not only to expand their opportunities but also to transform the future of their communities.

As a Salvadorian and African American woman, Ariana holds a strong personal commitment to uplifting diverse voices and fostering spaces where young people feel seen, valued, and capable of leading. Her passion for youth reform, media arts, and workforce development continues to guide her efforts, bridging creativity with advocacy to inspire lasting impact.
