Chief of Staff
Donte T. Wyatt was born in the Midwest but grew up in multiple states and overseas due to his father’s military service. Donte’s family settled in Los Angeles, California after his father was medically retired from the military.
Donte received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Africana Studies from San Diego State University. He was the Outstanding Graduate from the Africana Studies department, and he obtained his degree in Political Science with Distinction. He received his law degree from California Western School of Law. Donte was a recipient of the Dean Merit Scholarship and received the Pro Bono Honor Society Award. He is also a graduate of the African American Board Leadership Institute, completing the program in 2020.
Donte joined the San Diego District Attorney’s Office, first as a graduate law clerk and then as a Deputy District Attorney where he spent over 10 years handling hundreds of cases. He left the District Attorney’s Office and opened the Law Offices of Donte T. Wyatt, where he spent over twelve years in private practice. He has been an active member of many community-based organizations, including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the California Association of Black Lawyers, and the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association.
