Policy Advisor
Dr. Kerstin Nolan completed her undergraduate studies at Columbia University and attended medical school at New York University where she was inducted as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
She served as an outreach coordinator and provided health care services to uninsured patients at the NYC Free Clinic. She also worked as a Health Leads program coordinator at Harlem Hospital, providing information and access to community resources, including childcare, education, housing, and utilities.
Through experiences like these, Dr. Nolan understands how social determinants of health like socioeconomic status, living conditions, and access to healthcare, can impact communities.
Dr. Nolan manages the policy areas related to the County of San Diego’s Health & Human Services and Behavioral Health Services.
