The Office of County Supervisor Monica Montgomery Steppe is currently accepting applications for internship opportunities for college-enrolled students. This is a valuable professional development opportunity for students with an interest in public administration, community and economic development, public safety, social services, or government communications.
Interns will work closely with District 4 staff in the areas of policy, community engagement, and communications, and will gain hands-on experience serving the residents of San Diego County’s District 4. They will learn about the Supervisor’s priorities, office operations, and county governance. This internship offers meaningful exposure to local government and is designed to build relevant skills for future careers in public service, nonprofit leadership, or advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
The Internship will take place in-person at the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92101
Hours:
Internships are up to 20 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semester/quarter. Students interested must be available during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:00PM) with occasional evening and weekend availability for community events.
