Samantha Itazawa is a San Diego native, born and raised in central San Diego. She received her bachelor’s degree in History from San Diego State University and her law degree from California Western School of Law. In law school, Samantha worked as a legal intern for the ACLU of San Diego and Imperial Counties, San Diego Coastkeeper, and California Western School of Law’s Community Law Project.

She has previous experience as a housing staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and was a judicial law clerk to a federal district judge in the Southern District of California.

Samantha manages the policy areas related to the County of San Diego’s Public Safety Group.
